Learning to Listen is a series of classes that I created to bring together the best of the principles of Craniosacral work and mind-body practices that bring freedom to Body, Mind, and Spirit.

About The Training...

Learning To Listen II is open to those who have completed Learning To Listen II or equivalent.

In this 20hr training you will:

  • Learn the principles of the fluid body, mid-tide, long-tide, and the Breath of Life.

  • Understand fulcrums and how to utilize these to support the body in unwinding patterns.

  • Practice working with the subtle body so that you can sense and support it for yourself and others

  • Develop your listening skills and energetic awareness

  • Explore the esoteric levels of this healing modality

Practitioners will learn how to work with their clients and discover how to integrate this work with the modalities they are already licensed to practice.

Our new location for Learning To Listen II will be announced soon!

About the Experience...

I have now led this course a handful of times, in a Covid safe environment. The experience has been transformational each time! I can't tell you how magical it is to be together. We study during the training hours, and in our downtime, we play music together, share stories, explore the surroundings and beautifully connect.

What to expect:

The retreat begins Thursday evening with a Meet & Greet and group dinner. Arriving Thursday allows time to ground, explore your surroundings, and settle into your sleeping space. Some attendees are not able to make it until later in the evening and that is okay.

Learning to Listen is a 20 hour training spread throughout your stay. There will be morning and afternoon sessions on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of about 3-4 hours each with a break in between where you can take time to explore the facilities, enjoy the accommodations, or relax and take time to yourself before the afternoon session. Sunday's session ends at 6pm, with dinner at 7pm. You are welcome to stay the night and leave Monday morning, or head home if you need.

Simple, organic, whole foods will be provided for each meal. If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know during registration and we will make the appropriate accommodations.

In the evenings bring an instrument if you'd like, or bring art materials if you like to do that. Bring a book. You can enjoy sitting by the fireside, or if it is warm, enjoy being outside. It is really a special experience.

Cost:

  • 20 hours training in the Principles of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy: *Cost to be announced soon

  • Accommodations to include: all meals, use of the retreat center with it's beautiful facilities, and sleeping arrangements (Cost dependent on room selection)

***Sleeping arrangements are limited, book quickly to reserve your preference.

***Bedrooms are available to individuals, or to reduce the rate, share a room with a friend or bring your partner. Select 'Double Occupancy' when registering.

TESTIMONIALS

"As a student, what has always struck me about Catharine is her ability to hold space. In the Learning to Listen II workshop, we didn't just learn about craniosacral therapy, we lived it out. Each day, we explored a different facet of craniosacral therapy in a purely experiential environment. Opportunities to learn in this manner are rare and magical, and I believe this type of experience evolves out of the mastery with which the teacher holds the space. Thank you, Catharine."

"Catharine was ever present in the room. She approaches teaching with a playfulness that is so inviting. She encouraged us all to live in, play in, and perceive more in our bodies and those around us."

"I enjoyed the intention- from the books that were left out to look at, to the decks of cards to pull from, the opportunities to meditate, the space, the food... everything was thought of and made for a comfortable container to relax into. I felt ample space to feel, deepen, and expand. I appreciate Catharine's calm and warm energy, her ability to be with whatever comes, and her passion for what she does."

"Catharine was great- she felt focused, she allowed for different kinds of learning, she was grounded but still curious."

"Catharine's ability to listen fully to each person share their reflections, take the time to process it (and sometimes clarify) and allow that to have all of the time it needed without ever projecting stress around covering the class material. And still manage to cover all of the class material. I told Catharine in detail in the kitchen how much I learned from watching her teach, and would probably take ANY of her courses (on whatever topic) just to try to learn those qualities by osmosis."

"Catharine was ever present in the room. She approaches teaching with a playfulness that is so inviting. She encouraged us all to live in, play in, and perceive more in our bodies and those around us."

"Catharine has a grounding presence. I loved the way she responded to emergent topics and wove them into the experience. It felt like there was room for everyone to be authentic, bring their knowledge, and ask questions without feeling rushed or like we were falling behind. She is a great container holder and facilitator."
